The modern eye is blind to the meaning of its images, just as it is blind to the experience of entering a Gothic cathedral. Nevertheless, the interest in this deck of cards is growing in the contemporary world: we can see it in its use as a tool for exploring the unconscious by Jungian analysts, as well as in its more popular version in divinatory cartomancy, or in the practice of the so-called \u00ab\u00a0evolutionary\u00a0\u00bb or \u00ab\u00a0initiatory\u00a0\u00bb Tarot, where these cards become a tool for self-knowledge and questioning the present. Is this an anachronism? A sign of regression and naive superstition? Or is the vision of the world that lies behind these images of great value for the existential questioning of the contemporary world?<\/p><p>The purpose of this documentary series is to explore the origins of this card game and its various uses through the centuries (as a game, as a source of inspiration in art, as a tool for philosophical study and as an oracle) in order to perceive its authentic identity and the role it plays in the questioning of the contemporary world.<\/p><p>The documentary will be presented and discussed by Marianne Costa, writer, artist, tarot reader and actress (La Voie du Tarot, Le Tarot pas \u00e0 pas, Metagenealogie, No Woman&rsquo;s Land).
